PAS Alcoi 2-7 Barça: Semi-finals here we come

Barça are into the semi-finals of the OK League play offs following a 7-2 win away at PAS Alcoi in the second game of their quarter final play off. Ignacio Alabart contributed four goals in a game that was decided in the second half. 

The blaugranes are now awaiting to find out whether they will play Igualada or Calafell in the next round with the first of the game to come at the Palau Blaugrana next Friday at 8.30pm CEST. 

A step forward 

The second game started in intense fashion with PAS Alcoi showing themselves to be worthy rivals for the blaugranes. Nevertheless, Barça took the lead on five minutes when Alabart took advantage of a mistake from the home side in defence. 

Just two minutes later PAS Alcoi were level with Gonzalo Pérez scoring. Two goals in two minutes from Barça gave them the advantage, Alabart and Aragonés finding the net before Gonzalo Pérez scored again to cut the deficit and make it 3-2 to Barça at half time. 

Second half decides

Alabart grabbed his hat-trick to make it 4-2 and from that moment Barça took control. Goals from Ferran Font, Xavi Barroso and another from Alabart stretched the lead for David Cáceres' side to take a 7-2 win and move into the semi-finals.
