Bada Huesca 28-43 Barça: Another final

A routine win in the semi-final means the Catalans will be appearing in the Copa del Rey Final

Barça are through to the Copa del Rey final after a dominant 28–43 win over Bada Huesca, in a semi-final that was effectively decided by the midway point of the first half.

The Aragonese side put up resistance in the early stages and managed to stay level at 7–7 as late as the 14th minute. However, a 6–1 run from Barça forced a Huesca timeout as the Catalans began to take control (9–13). The break did little to stop the momentum, and Barça extended their lead to 13–22 by half-time.

The second half continued in the same vein, with Barça dictating the pace and gradually increasing their lead. With the result all but sealed, coach Carlos Ortega rotated his squad to manage fatigue in what is a demanding tournament with three decisive matches in quick succession. With the Final Four in Cologne on the horizon, conserving energy was key. It all ended 28–43.

Barça will now play in Sunday’s final, where they will face the winner of the other semi-final between Bidasoa Irun and Ademar León, taking place today at 7pm CEST on the same court.
